The first Turkish-language radio station went online across Azerbaijan on Tuesday as Baku continues to cooperate closely with other Turkish countries to popularize the bloc’s local cultures and strengthen the unity of people in the region.

The new TMB Radio, which will contribute to the development of information sharing between states, started broadcasting in Azerbaijan on February 1, 2022.

TMB 100.5 FM radio covers all districts of Azerbaijan, and the audience can also tune in at and the Azerspace1 satellite platform.

The social significance of the Radio TMB project is to promote the national vision and tolerance of Azerbaijan, to encourage young people to adopt national values ​​and traditions, and to draw attention to the modern musical art of the countries and Turkish peoples.

The new radio project is led by the media group TMB (Türk Millətlər Birliyi – Union of Turkish Countries), which supports the development of projects in the field of information and media aimed at strengthening the solidarity of countries and peoples turks.

The TMB media group has also piloted projects such as the TMB television channel, which broadcasts on Turksat, Intelsat, KazSat and Azerspace1, as well as through cable channels in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and many OTTIPTV platforms. since 2011.

TMB TV has been broadcasting the TurkVizyon Music Festival from Turkic speaking countries since 2013.
