Local public radio station offers special holiday programming online

WVIK, NPR Quad Cities wishes the community happy holidays by providing special radio programming with a classic twist.

“As we navigate the holiday season, classical music hosts Dave Garner, Mindy Heusel and Michel Wahlmann will share holiday-inspired music,” the station said in a press release.

Here are some of the lineup highlights that can be heard over the next week:

Friday, December 24

  • 9 a.m. — “A festival of nine lessons and songs”
  • 9 p.m. — “A Nova Christmas”

Saturday December 25

  • 9 a.m. — “A Nova Christmas”
  • 11 a.m. — “A choral Christmas with Antico Style
  • Noon — “Welcome Christmas”
  • 1 p.m. — “A Chanticleer Christmas”
  • 2 p.m. — “A moving Christmas”
  • 3 p.m. — “Everything is luminous: contemplative music for Christmas”

Monday January 1
